What is it?

Particleboard, also known as particle board and particle board, is a wooden product made of wood chips, wood chips or even wood chips and synthetic resin. Other suitable adhesives that are compressed and extruded. [1] Oriented particle board, also known as fiberboard, waffle board or particle board, uses treated but similar but higher strength wood chips. All these composite materials belong to various fiberboard products.

Composite board is a wood seed made of thin board or veneer. It looks like the most common plywood, but has one or two protective plastic layers. Laminates replace plywood for impact resistance, moisture resistance and cracking (plasticity). The layers of the laminate (so-called decorative panels) are glued to adjacent layers and the grains are perpendicular to each other to increase strength. Added plastic components for protection, thickness, color and texture will vary depending on application.

The laminated particle board is a type produced for the market demand, combining the advantages of the Particle board and the Laminated board to expand the range of use.

Advantages and disadvantages

Laminated particleboard is cheaper and denser than existing wood and plywood, and can be replaced if uniform and cost is more important than strength and appearance. By painting and using decorative panels on visible surfaces, laminated particleboard can be made more attractive. It is denser than traditional wood, but the lightest and weakest lignocellulosic material, except for insulation boards. Medium-density fiberboard and fiberboard (also known as high-density fiberboard) are stronger and more dense than particleboard. Laminated particleboard has different qualities and different densities. The higher the density, the better the strength and resistance of the screw support.

A significant disadvantage of laminated particle boards is that they tend to absorb moisture and cause swelling and discoloration, especially when it is not covered by paint or other sealants. Therefore, it is rarely used outdoors or in high humidity areas, except for bathrooms, kitchens and laundries, which are commonly used as liners for shielding under moisture-resistant continuous vinyl floor sheets.

In a dry environment, the laminated laminated particle board is superior to the veneer plywood due to its stability, low cost and convenience. In a dry environment, veneer particleboard is favored by people for its stability, low cost and ease of use.

Design application

The laminated particle board has had a huge impact on the furniture design. In the early 1950s, laminated particle boards began to be used in furniture buildings, but in many cases it was still more expensive than solid wood. The laminated particle board is only suitable for very wealthy people. After the technology is more developed, the laminated particle board becomes cheaper.

The strategies of some large companies are based on affordable furniture supply. For this, we use the cheapest materials. In almost all cases, this means particle board or MDF. However, to maintain a reputation for quality at an affordable price, manufacturers can use higher quality laminated particleboards, such as high-density particleboard, thick particleboard, or high-quality particleboard with high-quality resin. The difference in slump on a shelf of a given width is known. The low cost of sheet metal (chipboard, MDF and other wood materials) helps to replace hardwood in many cabinet applications.
