Laminated particle board consists of particle board with melamine paper or natural wood veneer, laminated by high heat and pressure. This type of laminated particleboard, sometimes referred to as MDP, or medium-density-laminate.
1. Cheaper, denser and more uniform than conventional wood and plywood.
2. More attractive by painting or the use of wood veneers onto surfaces that will be visible.
